Your privacy matters. This notice explains what personal information Emirates Business Setup collects, how we use and share it, and the rights you have over it.
This privacy notice for Emirates Business Setup (“we”, “us”, or “our”) describes how and why we might collect, store, use, and/or share (“process”) your information when you use our services (“Services”), such as when you visit our website, or engage with us in other related ways, including any sales, marketing, or events.
Questions or concerns? Reading this privacy notice will help you understand your privacy rights and choices. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our Services. If you still have questions, please contact us at sales@emiratesbusinesssetup.com.
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you register on the Services, express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and Services, when you participate in activities on the Services, or otherwise when you contact us.
Personal information provided by you. The personal information we collect depends on the context of your interactions with us and the Services, the choices you make, and the products and features you use. The personal information we collect may include:
Sensitive information. We do not process sensitive information.
Payment data. We may collect data necessary to process your payment if you make purchases, such as your payment instrument number and the security code associated with your payment instrument. All payment data is stored by Ziina. You may find their privacy notice at ziina.com.
Social media login data. We may give you the option to register with us using your existing social media account details, such as Facebook or Twitter. See “How Do We Handle Your Social Logins?” below.
All personal information you provide to us must be true, complete and accurate, and you must notify us of any changes to it.
We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the Services. This information does not reveal your specific identity but may include device and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, device name, country, location, and information about how and when you use our Services. This information is primarily needed to maintain the security and operation of our Services, and for internal analytics and reporting.
The information we collect includes:
To enhance our ability to provide relevant marketing, offers and services, and to update our records, we may obtain information about you from public databases, joint marketing partners, affiliate programs, data providers, social media platforms, and other third parties. This may include mailing addresses, job titles, email addresses, phone numbers, intent data, IP addresses, and social media profiles, used for targeted advertising and event promotion.
We process your personal information for a variety of reasons, depending on how you interact with our Services, including:
If you are located in the EU or UK, the GDPR and UK GDPR require us to explain the legal bases we rely on, which may include:
If you are located in Canada, we may process your information with your express or implied consent, which you may withdraw at any time. In certain exceptional cases we may be permitted to process information without consent, including for investigations and fraud prevention, business transactions, insurance claims, identifying injured or deceased persons, suspected financial abuse, legal compliance such as a subpoena or court order, and where information is publicly available and specified by regulation.
Vendors, consultants and other third-party service providers. We may share your data with third parties who perform services for us or on our behalf and require access to such information to do that work. We have contracts in place designed to safeguard your personal information — they cannot use it beyond our instructions, will not share it with anyone else, and commit to protecting and retaining it only for the period we instruct. The categories of third parties we may share information with include:
We may also share your information in the following situations:
We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies (like web beacons and pixels) to access or store information. Specific information about how we use such technologies and how you can refuse certain cookies is set out in our Cookie Notice.
Where you register or log in using a third-party social media account (such as Facebook or Twitter), we will receive certain profile information from your social media provider — typically your name, email address, friends list and profile picture, along with anything else you have chosen to make public on that platform.
We use this information only for the purposes described in this notice or otherwise made clear to you. We do not control, and are not responsible for, other uses of your personal information by your social media provider — we recommend reviewing their privacy notice to understand how they collect, use and share your data.
We will only keep your personal information for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting or other legal requirements). No purpose in this notice will require us to keep your personal information for longer than the period in which you have an account with us.
When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will delete or anonymise it, or, where that isn’t possible (for example, because it is stored in backup archives), we will securely store and isolate it from further processing until deletion is possible.
In some regions you have certain rights under applicable data protection laws, which may include the right to: (i) request access to and a copy of your personal information; (ii) request rectification or erasure; (iii) restrict the processing of your personal information; and (iv) where applicable, data portability. You may also have the right to object to processing in certain circumstances. To make such a request, contact us using the details in Section 12.
If you are in the EEA or UK and believe we are unlawfully processing your personal information, you have the right to complain to your local data protection supervisory authority — find their contact details here. If you are in Switzerland, contact details are available here.
Withdrawing your consent. Where we rely on your consent to process your personal information, you may withdraw it at any time by contacting us using the details in Section 12 or updating your preferences. This will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
Account information. You can review or change the information in your account, or terminate it, by logging in to your account settings and updating your details. Upon a request to terminate your account, we will deactivate or delete it from our active databases, though we may retain some information in our files to prevent fraud, troubleshoot problems, assist with investigations, enforce our legal terms, and/or comply with legal requirements.
Cookies. Most browsers accept cookies by default; you can usually set your browser to remove or reject them, though this may affect certain features of the Services. To opt out of interest-based advertising, visit aboutads.info/choices.
If you have questions or comments about your privacy rights, email us at sales@emiratesbusinesssetup.com.
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature you can activate to signal your preference not to have your online browsing activity monitored and collected. No uniform technology standard for DNT signals has yet been finalised, so we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or similar mechanisms. If a standard is adopted that we must follow, we will inform you in a revised version of this notice.
California Civil Code Section 1798.83, the “Shine The Light” law, permits California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes, and the names and addresses of those third parties. To make such a request, contact us using the details in Section 12.
If you are under 18, reside in California, and have a registered account with the Services, you have the right to request removal of unwanted data that you publicly post on the Services. Contact us with the email address associated with your account and a statement confirming California residency. We will ensure the data is no longer publicly displayed, though it may not be completely removed from all our systems (e.g. backups).
We may update this privacy notice from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by a revised date and will be effective as soon as it is accessible. If we make material changes, we may notify you by prominently posting a notice or by directly sending you a notification. We encourage you to review this notice periodically.
