Bookkeeping in Dubai — Done Monthly, Not in a Panic

UAE law requires every company to keep IFRS-compliant records for seven years. Beyond compliance, your bookkeeping is what every Corporate Tax and VAT filing is built on — get it wrong and everything downstream is wrong with it.

What’s Involved

What This Covers

🏦 Bank reconciliation

Every line on your statement matched and categorised each month, across multiple accounts and currencies where needed.

🧾 Expense & revenue tracking

Invoices, receipts and payments recorded properly, so your profit figure is real rather than an estimate at year end.

📊 Monthly financial reports

Profit and loss, balance sheet and cash position — so you know where the business stands without waiting for an annual audit.

📂 IFRS-compliant records

Records kept the way UAE law requires and the FTA expects, retained for the full seven-year period.

💳 Multi-currency & gateways

Stripe, payment gateways and foreign currency handled correctly — the areas where e-commerce books usually fall apart.

🔒 Audit & bank ready

Clean books are what banks, auditors and visa authorities ask for. Having them ready is far easier than reconstructing them later.

In Plain English

Why Bookkeeping Is the Part That Actually Matters

Bookkeeping is the least visible part of accounting and the one everything else depends on. Your Corporate Tax return is built from it. Your VAT returns are built from it. If the underlying records are wrong, both filings are wrong — and the liability sits with the company, not the person who did the books.

Bad bookkeeping also does not announce itself. It surfaces months later, when a filing does not reconcile, a bank asks for statements, or a figure that was never right finally has to be corrected. By then the fix costs several times what doing it properly would have.

That is why every one of our packages includes monthly bookkeeping rather than treating it as an add-on. Books stay current, the numbers are reconciled as you go, and filing season is a formality instead of a scramble.

Pricing for all of this sits with our fixed monthly accounting packages — one price by transaction volume, nothing billed by the hour.

FAQ

Common Questions

Is bookkeeping legally required in the UAE?
Yes. Under UAE Corporate Tax law every company must maintain IFRS-compliant financial records and retain them for seven years, regardless of size or profit.
How many transactions can you handle?
Our packages run from 10 transactions a year up to 3,600, and we regularly handle clients running 500+ transactions a month. Above 3,600 a year we quote on your actual volume.
What counts as a transaction?
One line on your bank statement or one recorded expense — money in or money out. If you are unsure which band you fall into, send us a recent statement and we will tell you.
Our books are behind — can you catch us up?
Yes. Backlog bookkeeping is common, especially after a switch. We will tell you what is involved before you commit to anything.
Can I get bookkeeping without the full package?
Yes. Bookkeeping on its own, without Corporate Tax or VAT filing, is available. Tell us what you need and we will quote it.
